on the base of my cakes - it goes great for three quarters of the way round, then pleats (at the back on photos), ive tried rolling smaller, but end up with having to stretch it,and spoiling the look of the cake - any help would really be appreciated here, im very new to this (ive only made and decorated 4 cakes) so you can appreciate where im at in this game.
please help me
thank you so much - its much better seeing it done properly than trying to read it from a book
thanks again
That video is great. I had the same problem and that video helped me. here are a couple more:
What I have found that works is that you smooth from the top down.
Basicly you smooth the top inch all the way around the cake. After that part is smooth you move down an inch, and keep working down an inch at a time. This way you don't end up with most of your cake smooth then have a big wrinkle left to get rid of.
