What type of paper is used with edible ink for printing messages on cookies, should the base be royal or fondant, and how do you get it to adhear? [/b]

You can buy wafer paper, 'icing sheets' and rice paper with slightly different results.

It is best applied when the surface of the cookie damp.

You can buy edible art 'paper' from several places that also sell edible ink and the special printers required. kopykake.com is one

What JoAnnB said. Just be sure the edges are sticking to the cookie surface because the wafer paper will roll in not.
