Hi! I love your gelatins!! They are so beautiful!

I won a set of cutters and some gelatin, but don't have any idea how to use them. Can you tell me how you do that?

Your gelatina flowers are beautiful! Are they to eat? Do they taste like anything?

I just saw your flowers and they are beautiful. I would love to know how you did this and I'm sure other members would be interested, too. If you have the time, please post the directions. icon_smile.gif

So do you use the knife and inject the milk/gelatina before it is completely set? When i tried, my gelatin was set, and it just squooshed it back out (i didn't use milk/gelatina, i just used color/corn syrup)
I tried once before it was set, and it just sunk into it... which means i am totally doing something wrong... Help me!

OK I'm confused. Are there two ways to do it, either with cutters or injecting? And what do you use to inject the flowers, a syringe with a needle or something? Are you injecting the liquid gelatin into an already set gelatin? Do you inject it from the front or the back? See, I'm clueless! icon_rolleyes.gif

Flowergel,

I've always loved to eat jello. (Can't help it, I'm a child of the 50's.)

But your jello art is also a treat for the eyes....
just beautiful!!!!

The first time i tried it, the clear gelatin was completely set. When i injected the color/corn syrup it just pushed back out of the holes, and since it was not gelatin it never set, and when i flipped it over more came out. very messy.

How do i make milk gelatin? how do i add milk? do i substitute milk for some of the water? or is it completely different?

I just used a regular clean syringe (the kind i get from the pharmacy for children's medicine) without a needle.

you make the clear gelatin in a bowl or mold (i used a regular small tupperware container) and you inject from the top. When you take it out and flip it over, the flowers are inside (the top becomes the bottom)

7yyrt,

Thanks for the earlier thread.

The search feature doesn't really let you search very easily....

Just a few page choices at the beginning, or the tail end of a long thread.

Wouldn't it be nice if you could just enter a page number, and continue from there!

I keep certain threads marked, the subjects return regularly with different people needing the same information. I'm new at cake deco, but very good at information.
