I only ever knew how to do pinch ball roses but thanks to you guys I know know alot more, and I'm still learning. One day I will have a go at an arrangement. Here are a couple of pics so that you can see where I started as to where I am know. Please let me know what you think.

Actually, I like both roses however the gumpaste rose is stunning. Is that the first rose you made with the instructions or did you practice a bit? Either way, it's beautiful and you should be proud.

I like both roses. They both are beautiful. Your first rose has a fun whimsical look to it and your newer rose is more classic.

I would love to try some of these, where did you find the instructions to do them? I did a search and could not find them.

Yours are beautiful by the way.

jules06 the spoons method is in this thread well sort of, but I did it a little different. I used round cutters as I dont have rose cutters. Wrapped 2 small rounds around the center cone, then 3 medium rounds, followed by 5 medium shaped rounds(spoons) then 5 large shaped rounds. Interlocked each petal into the other and glued into place as I went then left it upside down to dry. Started with white gumpaste then dusted each petal with luster dust as I went then once dry dusted again with a different colour. Mauve quartz then pink pearl. I hope that makes sense.
