I want to wrap a cake board in wrapping paper and I read on here that you have to cover the wrapping paper with contact paper. I just went to AC Moore to get contact paper and couldn't find it anywhere. What section of the store would it be in and would there be any other names for it?

Thanks for the help!

You can usually find it in supermarkets in the shelf-liner sections.

I dont' know where you are, but I get mine at Bi-mart.

I have found it in dept and dollar stores. It's never in the same place. I've found it by the chemicals, tupperwares, vacuum cleaners, paint dept. Home Depot has contact paper too. I would just ask someone. You never know where that stuff will be.

Office supply stores (e.g. Staples) carry large rolls so you can cover most board sizes.

I heard that the Contact should be 'food grade' and I've never been able to find it. Where do you find that kind?

I've always used the clear stuff that you can get from Wal-mart or other similar place. I understand that the clear is foodsafe- just not the patterened stuff because of the ink they use to print it.

Have you guys noticed ow the contact paper is a lot thinner nowadays??? Back when I was in school it was way stronger and easier to manage.... Is the one they sell in staples thicker or stronger?

Thanks,

The one I get is in a large roll and is thick enough to do the job; just remember once its on its not easy to get off.
