Help ... I've been trying to make a tiny piping bag from parchment, but I can't seem to get it tight enough to not fall apart. I see people on TV using tiny little bags to pipe details, but I just can't get it right. Are these just parchment bags made small?

The easiest way is to take a triangle, cut it in half and then in half again. Fold it like you do any other parchment bag and I close the seam with a bit of tape.

what kind of tape do you use? I tend to have a problem getting the tape to stick to the parchment paper when I make these....end up just folding over the top, which isn't always the most stable for me just starting out.

I usually use masking tape and it sticks no problem. Thanks for the info JoAnn! I was wondering about those tiny piping bags too....

Make sure you're not using the silicone coated parchment. No tape will stick to that! In a pinch, you can staple it closed.

Here is a website that is great. She has a video and a pdf file on how to make a bag from parchment.

Oh! Staple! Brilliant! I do have the silicone parchement. A big fat roll of it. That's why I'm having so many tape issues. I had issues with taping for the upside down method, too. People kept saying masking tape and I was saying to myself nuh-uh!! Now I know why.
