"name That Baby" Cake Idea Needed

I agreed to make a baby shower cake for some very good friends. The theme of the shower is "Name That Baby!". (The basic idea is that during the shower guests suggest names for the baby, trying to be as off the wall as possible and knowing that the names won't actually get used.)
I have no idea what to make. The baby is a girl, but the couple is a little non-traditional (meaning they're not into pink and florals and all the usual cutesy baby things).
Anyone out there have an idea? I'd be so grateful! Thanks.
I would do a 2-tier round cake. Make the bottom tier something "girly" but not pink and flowery. The top tier could look like an upside down hat with slips of fondant paper coming out with funny names written on them - kind of like everyone's name suggestions were being put in a hat for them to choose the name. Hope that makes sense

OMG what a cute idea!!!! That's why I love this site.
The hat idea is so cute!! I was thinking just a round tiered cake with little slips of paper on the end of wires coming out of the cake with old fashioned names like "Gertrude" and "Hagatha". Nothing wrong with those names, I just assume that they aren't that popular these days! Look at some of the topsy turvy cakes, how they have things on wires kind of stick out of them. Although... the hat idea really rocks! But maybe it could be a baby bonnet!
I LOVE the "pulling names out of a hat" idea! That is so cute. And, having some of them on wires like they were sort of already pulled out would be great, too. I knew someone (or two) out there in CC land would have the perfect idea.
I know they're decorating the nursery in black and white French toile fabric, so I think I could even pull off a hatband/bow that mimics that pattern.
Thanks, everyone!
Oh, a white chapeau with black and white toile ribbon 'band' would rock their minds!! They would just go bonkers over it!!! You are going to blow them away!!
