Hi everyone!
I have been approched to enter into a craft show this comig November, I've never done this before, however I do think it sounds like a fun idea!
I don't want to go too crazy as I really don't know what to expect.
I just want to do smaller things like cupcakes, cookies, candy...
Do I need to wrap the cupcakes to sell them individually?
If anyone has done this before or has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated as I have really no clue where to even start???
Start by decideing everything you want to try and sell. I am going to be in one Nov. 4th so I am busy baking away. I am making mini loaf pumpkin, friendship, and banana breads. They are packaged in a decorated stoneware pan I got from Michael's for $1.00. Wrapped in cellophane, and tied with pretty ribbon. Cake balls-6 to a box, Gourmet caramel apples, Cookie &Cake mix in a jar, Peanut and cahew brittle, decorated cookies, etc. I would package the cupcakes seperatly and maybe 4 to a box.
It's probably going to be hard to package them individually. I would go with maybe the 4 to a small box idea. I think if you put 1 in a treat bag, it would probably get smooshed.
Jovigirl,
Hi!
When I pack my cupcakes in a box, I put tissue paper between them to keep them from touching. I do this all the time. It seems to work because I haven't had any complaints, and I make alot of cupcakes!
By the way, congratulations on being invited to participate in a craft fair!
Have a nice day!

Momof4luvscakes,
Sounds delicious! I wish you a great selling day!
When I package my cupcakes either for sale or for gifts, I use those plastic clamshell containers like they use in the grocery stores. I can buy them at my local cake supply store for $1 each. They carry them in 2 sizes - 12count and 6 count.
Maybe you could use something like this?
I am out of ideas when it comes to selling individual cupcakes though. In the past when I did a craft/bake sale booth, I just had a case of them and people could buy them individually and I just gave them their cupcake on a napkin or papertowel. Probably not the best idea, but that seemed to work okay for me.
Good luck with your sale.
