I've never used flower picks before but I need to on a wedding cake I'm making for this weekend. I know you have to put water in them for fresh flowers but how do you know how much water is enough? I don't want to over fill them and have water dribble out onto the cake but I don't want to put too little and have the flowers wilt. When transporting - has anyone ever had the flowers fall out of the water picks? How do you use these things...... icon_confused.gif They didn't come with instructions. icon_cry.gif I'm sure these questions sound silly but it's for a wedding cake. I want to be completely sure about what I'm using. Thanks for any help in advance.

when I am using picks, I generally place the flowers once I get to the site. Then, for most flowers, I don't need to add water. I transport the flowers in water, so what ever moisture is on the stem is enough to keep the flower for some time.
