I was wondering how much it costs in to make a batch of NFSC over there in America. I costed it out the other day and each batch (about 35 4inch cookies), iced and bagged and tied with pretty ribbon costs about Australian $8. Are ingredients wery expensive in America?
I figured my cost on cookies only, no icing at .88 cents per dozen. The most expensive ingredient in these cookies here is the butter. Flour is around 2.00 for 5 lbs, sometimes Kroger has it on sale for 1.00 for 5.00 and sugar is about 2.50 for 5.00 at the grocery.
I am not licensed so I can't get holesale prices. The meringue powder in the icing is fairly expensive, but I get the bags on sale so they are really cheap.
Hope this helps.

i figured mine out a week or so ago and it was apx 12.00 for cookies, icing, and packaging ( bag & bow ) this does not include labels, or energy cost, or production mark up. that was for a whole recipe of NFSC w/ antonias icing
i normally get about 40 cookies..average size..it all depends on how large the cookies are and i get less if i am making bouquet cookie since they are thicker cookies. and for me my cost includes packaging not just the cookie dough ingredients. it comes to about 30 cent per cookie.
