Hi Everyone,

Just needed to toot my horn a little. I took a chance and entered a cake in the County Fair this year and I won a blue ribbon, a high blue ribbon and best of division. I'm so excited!!!! Worked about 35 hours on this cake that was inspired by and somewhat duplicated from Kerry Vincent's cover cake for the Feb/Mar 2007 issue of American Cake Decorating. I'd love to hear what you all think!!

Thank you so much everyone. As I said this is from Kerry Vincent's cake from ACD. She gives some pretty detailed instructions in the article. I'll write up what I did and post for those who are interested.

Wow! I saw the cover of the magazine, w/ the cake that inspired you. You did an awesome job w/ yours! (I would have been too afraid to even try it!) Congrats on your win! Again--just fantastic!
