I USED FONDANT ON A CAKE!! AND I LOOOOOOVE IT!!! (photo album)
I've been decorating cakes since I was knee high to a grasshopper, and was too scared to try it. Well, I figure 21 years old, I can do anything now! icon_smile.gif
So..I made my husband's 24th birthday cake a poker theme. It's in my photo album. I still need to do a few little things, dust off the confec. sugar and stuff, but I just am too excited and couldn't wait anymore to post it!!
So whada y'all think?! Please, any advice, constructive critism, anything!

I think your cake looks fantastic and I am impressed with anyone who can work the "The Fondant", (Do you hear the ominous music playing in my head?) as "The Fondant" and I are not friends.

Great job! I know the feeling - I am attempting a fondant covered armadillo for my friend's hubby. He has been asking for one for so long. I have done fondant accents, but never a fondat-covered shaped cake. I sure hope it turns out ok! Yours looks very nice - I bet your hubby is so proud to get it!

WOW! Great job!! What kind of fondant did you use?? I still haven't tried MMF, but I'm going to be brave enough one day to try it. I have purchased the ingredients. Not sure what I'm waiting on.

your sooooo funny!!!! i so had the same reaction.....i tried mmf for the first time on a boob cake i did.......i am sooooooo in love with mmf!!!! i just did my first mmf bow tonight, i'll post pics tomorrow....i am soooooo happy with it!!!! did i mention that i love mmf????? oh and your cake soooooo rocks....i looooove it!!!!great job!!!!

Congrats. You are much braver than I. I have only made MMF roses and that was all. Maybe someday I'll expand or maybe not.
