i'm about to deliver the cake at the venue of my client....and gosh.....i'm in a bumper to bumper traffic situation... i place it at the back seat of my car... my instinct says it will slide! it will slide!i ignored it.. i took a couple of glances and it's just allright...when i finally got into the venue... my jaw drop! my cakes slided..at the back seat of my car...every single of them.. i fill like i wanna faint...the first thing that got into my head is I NEED TO FIX IT! EVERY SINGLE OF THEM... i will give these cakes to my client and i want smile in their faces....I BROUGHT THE CAKES TO A NEARBY FLOWERSHOP.I asked for a knife..an aluminum foil and 4 dozen of roses... i smoothed the icing...arrange the cakes..and fill the ruined parts with fresh flowers.... and my client thanked me for the cake...with a smile... oh my god i can't explain the tension and frustration it gave me.
lessons:
1)follow your instinct.
2)if you're about to travel the cake..especially that far...don't put too much filling.
...i t i didn't realize it at first....
3)if ever it will happen to me again...i'll make sure there's a nearby flowershop within the delivery area. ![]()
