I would help, but don't know what an seo plate is! icon_smile.gif When did you post? Anyway, I'm sure you'll get some help. Now I'm curious to know what it is and what you do with it!

What is an SEO plate? If I knew what it was and could help I would be more than happy too. Maybe I'll learn something new here. icon_smile.gif

Dont be offended you have to figure with all the thousands of people on this site most of us are here to learn rather than teach. the 36 people who read your post probably just didnt know how to answer your question. sometimes post will get pushed back to the 2nd or 3rd page before someone comes along that knows how to answer the question and bumps it back up.

Is this the thread? http://forum.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-459713-.html

Maybe it was a little vague ... you mentioned you'd had no experience with "these" plates but I've no idea what plates you are referring to. Had I popped in, I wouldn't know what kind of advice to offer because I'm not sure what plates you are referring to. Maybe you just accidently omitted a word that would have clarified it a little??

Don't ever worry that you've offended someone because nobody said anything. Believe me, around here if somebody's the least bit offended by anything, you will hear about it....and hear about it....and hear about it. icon_smile.gif If you didn't get a response, it's because the people who clicked on your topic didn't have the answer to your question. I frequently click on topics that I can't answer because either the title is vague and I'm curious what it's about, or because I think it might be something that I'd be interested to know about, too. That said, I hope somebody does have the answer to your question & then we'll all know!

I hear you hum, I posted something today and all I have is 4 responds. I was trying to be very detailed in the heading, but that was all I got. At one time I thought the same thing. Have I said soemthing that I shouldn't? I had posted topics before and I only get a few answers back so I thought that I had said something wrong. Well, I thought about it and I figured that I try to be as polite as possible and that if i had offended anyone I would have read about it. So I didn't take it personally. I hope that more people can help on mine. icon_cry.gif

No clue what SEO plates are, if SEO stands for something you should spell it out. Google is your friend.

Ok, folks, I'm old. I don't text message. When I was a kid, they actually taught us how to spell the whole word.

I am a trained adult literacy instructor. I think being able to read is the greatest skill in the world. I get really peeved at the new spelling-shorthand that is teaching our kids that proper spelling is not important. If you can't spell, you can't read.

I got sick of being told my lack of a degree was a problem while it was ME who was proofreading the college grads reports and memos because they don't know proper English structure or how to spell! icon_mad.gif

I have conceded to some of the abbreviations (BTW, OMG, BC) but I am in a constant battle with my 15 year old so she doesn't develop bad shorthand habits or think that "ur" is how you really spell "you are".

I wouldn't have known what "sep" plates were either. In this era of shorthand spelling, I would have been trying to figure out what it stood for.

Unfortunatally I have never used separator plates and can't help with this question, but I can't remember if I ever thanked you properly for your swamp cooler idea a few months ago. If I didn't I want to now, my husband was so impressed with the idea and it worked like a champ. Maybe I should have used these separator plates to keep my cake from sinking into it self. I had tried to use foamcore and learned you have to be very precise on doweling the corners. Hope the plates are eaiser to use. I would love to know how they work! Thanks again for your help and support through my disaster in the past, whish I could be of more help!

Hi Heavenscent,

I just read your posts on separator plates, I use them every time I have a stacked cake. The I have used two methods of support with the separator plates. One being the hidden pillars in the cake, the other being the wooden dowels in the cake to help support the layers so they don't sink into each other.

Hope this helps you out. Good luck on the wedding cake

Generally if your post is looked at but not replied to then it's because people either didn't know how to help or didn't understand the question. Don't be so sensitive!
