How Do You Cut Wooden Dowels?

I know, stupid question but I've never used dowels before and I do not know how to cut them. I tried snapping it and that didn't work. please help!!! icon_redface.gif

I use dog nail clippers (a dedicated pair of course) - they work great!

I use some garden shears bought specifically for that purpose. They work pretty well, but not perfect. Seems like you can't avoid having somewhat frayed edges but you can trim those up with regular scissors. Good luck!

I use garden shears, then touch up the ends with sandpaper to get rid of rough spots.
