Im getting ready to decorate a cake for my daughters birthday party tomorrow. It is 4 8x8 cakes stacked and then on top of those there are three 4x4 pieces. I baked and crumb coated them on Wednesday and put them in the refrigerator wrapped. Im ready to ice and decorate it tonight but want to know after I do that will I need to refrigerate it again or can I leave it out? The party is tomorrow at 1:30. Thanks in advance...I know its late so I hope someone has some input!

If it isn't too hot where you are, and there are no perishable fillings, it should be fine on the counter until tomorrow.

If you have A/C, I wouldn't worry about it. I usually toss mine in the spare fridge just to keep it out of sight and reach of little ones and hubby. Unless it has fondant on it, then I keep it out.

i'd think so. i had trouble with mid 90's keeping it from melting while on the cake indoors lol.

Hi,
I am in FL and as long as my air is working I always decorate my cakes and let them set up over night. I usually put the air down a few degrees maybe like 76 or so and I have never had any problems.

I like to put them in the fridge after to keep the cakes firm and moist. That way, when you do take them out the cold inside the cake will keep the icing cool. I live in MN, no a/c and it is 90 degrees right now.

I'm in Ohio, and we've had 4 98degree days, and my cakes were fine setting on the counter, as long as I kept the air on, you should be just fine! Have A Great Party!!!!

I am a fan of the fridge......especially in this hot weather...
Every cake I have done so far has been in the fridge...they all were fine after the experience...fondant and all! Just don't touch until the condensation has evaporated.

I keep mine out but I also keep my air down on 71 all the time. (I like my a/c) It's around 100 degrees here 110 with heat index, and high humidity. Nice and muggy!!
