I made a fondant figure today for a cake that was for Saturday. Was called tonight and told that the cake wasn't needed now until next Thursday. How can I keep the fondant nice and soft enough to eat for almost a week? Any ideas?

Thanks, Machel

sure. I rub the outside of the ball of fondant with a bit of shortening, then double wrap it, then into an airtight container. It should store fine for even weeks. It does not need to be refrigerated.
