I'm cross posting since I'm not getting any answers on the "How do I" thread...

If I place a dried fondant bride on a crusting buttercream surface, is it likely that the colored icing will stain her dress?

I'm not really sure, but I would say not... I've put colored fondant pieces on colored buttercream and never had an issue with bleeding, but the pieces weren't white either so I'm not sure...
but if you want to put a little protection between them, you could cut some wax paper *(I think it's wax paper) to the size of the dress and place it on the cake under the dress... kwim?

Just a thought...
