Thanks so much!!!! I really appreciate your encouragement and recognition!!! Decorating is my passion...except today when my bows were slipping off my cake and I smashed my rose into the fondant of my DIL's cake...it's all about the fix up on those kinds of days!!! icon_lol.gif

You guys are great and I have learned so much from everyone...wouldn't be where I am today without the help I have received!! I like to help others where I can as well...passing it along so this art can stay alive and well!

Roelle, I took the first 3 Wilton courses and the Gumpaste class following and started at the end of May 06. Then late February of this year I went to the Bonnie Gordon Cake School in Toronto...THE BEST caking money I have spent....I did Baking and Buttercream, Gumpaste Flowers and took some private lessons from Bonnie...When I came back I noticed what I wanted to make was different from what I was doing before...she really encourages attention to detail and workmanship and she told me that whatever you do, simple or complex...it is the execution that will count.
So that is what I try and do..focus on the execution of what I am making.
She also encouraged creativity and because she is so artistic, I was able to see some of her work which just inspired me...
I definitely want to go back and go to some other schools as well...

I LOVE looking at cakes here....from new decorators to the "stars"...you never know what you are going to see and what will inspire....
