Thinking about askingfor them for Christmas. You get 2 and a 2c beaker for $39.99. I saw them at William Sonoma last December, but did not really *need* any bowls and thensaw them again, and I really like them.

I have so many bowls. People in my family think "Hmmmm she bakes, let's get her bowls", so I have over a dozen.

Any critiques on these?

If it isn't stainless or unbreakable, I don't want it in my kitchen. I haven't use this particular item, but the last beakers I had were quite fragile.

I always ask for towels and dishcloths. I am a hazzard with chocolate, and my stuff gets stained quickly. I constantly throw dishcloths away because I can't get the chocolate out. A steady supply of new ones, makes me happy.

I believe the beaker is platic. The bowls are plastic--maybe like melamine. Kinda looks like a gravy boar with wings so the ingredients don't go everywhere. I noticed Martha Stewart uses bowls, but I am not martha and I had a bowl fall in--thank goodness not when the mixer was on.

Thanks for your response.
