Hello everyone.

I am new at this Cake thing. I have a Wedding cake to make and deliver. Any good ideas on how to get it from home to the Church?

Would love to hear any ideas...

Thanks

I have never made or transported a wedding cake but from reading various posts I believe the general concensus is do not stack the cakes until you are at the venue. Put the dowels in each layer and when you get there stack them. Bring along extra icing to make any necessary repairs.

Make sure the cake is on a flat surface when in the car and place bocake boxes on a non-skid mat. Don't drive too fast. LOL!

After assembly at the venue take lots of pictures to show that cake was in perfect condition and get the person responsible to sign off that all is okay.

I'm sure that there is a lot more info and hopefully the experts will post soon.

You'll get a better response to this question if you post it in a different forum.
