You all think I'm nuts, but I have a love for my Kitchen Aid 600. I even named her, "Beulla". Wierd name I know, but I just love her and
what she has done for me and my creations. Beulla died on August
26th while I had 3 cakes to do. I ran to the nearest Kohls and got
the last 600(didn't even bother with looking at color). I called
Kitchen Aid crying and they directed me to a store nearby that
fixed KA's. I called and they were backed up 3 weeks. I took her
in and the guy said that if it was the motor, DON"T BOTHER! They said
they would call me to let me know. I finally got the phone call, Beulla was
out of intensive care and made a full recovery. Her speed board was
shot. When I went to pick her up I had eyes filled with tears. I don't
know if it's because it's that time or just happy to see her healthy.
She doesnt' know what to think of the new edition which is the same color
but shiny, but now I have two 600 series and I'm happy.
Thanks for reading.

I think we've gone 'round the bend for our KA's. I'd be in really deep poop if mine died. There is no store to run to if I need to get a new one. There is one supplier in town and the KA they sell is the industrial size. But, believe me, if (and when) mine dies I'll be standing on their door step when they open, with the credit card out. (Lord only knows if I could get one repaired here, no parts.)

A big hug to the returning Buella! And now you have TWO! icon_biggrin.gif

So glad she was saved. I would be lost without my KA. It always sits proudly on the counter top.

This is so funny but it made me realize how much I take my KA for granted. I can't imagine life without it, so glad yours came back to you. Does Buella's sister have a name? LOL

I told my husband he needs to install under-cabinet lights just over my KA to shine down on her beauty (even though she's always covered in powdered sugar and icing bits - she's still beautiful!)

Glad you and Buella are back together and she has a new fella (Buford) hee hee

Thanks everyone. As many desserts and cakes
that she has made, she deserved a visit to the hospital. I actually wished on my birthday she
would be fixed. The cake gods listened.
I haven't named him yet, but he did make my first
big wedding cake so I should give him a good name. I'm actually having my mother make
a cover for both of them so the whatevers in the
air don't get them. Beulla is happy and thanks you.
