Hi,
I've never made a cookie bouquet but thought it would be a nice thing to make for a friend who's going through chemo.

She really likes chocolate chip cookies...can you make a bouquet with them? If so, how? Do I just make the ball of dough and stick the stick in before baking? Do I try to stick the stick in after? Sorry for so many questions, I just have no idea where to even begin.... icon_redface.gif
thanks!

regarding your cookie question, I have made choc chip cookies on sticks for bouquets. I used a generous scoop, flattened it slightly, then inserted the sticks into the cookies before baking. You need a recipe that isn't too soft, and you must NOT touch them until they are cool. The cookies will break off the sticks if you try to move them before they are completely cool.

You can also use the Wilton treat pans to bake shaped cookies.

JoAnnB said it perfectly, we used to make hundreds of cookies on sticks for Sunday buffets. Put the sticks in before you bake the cookies and don't touch them until they are completely cool. It can be a nice touch to half dip them in chocolate too...you can never have too much chocolate on a chocolate chip cookie!! I hope your friend gets well soon.

I recently learned how to do this - it's great! After you log in, go to the "forums" tab. Near the top right are two lines of text "View unanswered posts" and "View posts since last visit". Click on either text.
