It probably does not need to be refrigerated, as long as it is not out a long time or very hot.

I love strawberry freezer jam. But I'm not sure about it needing to be refrigerated when in a cake or not. How long will it be in the cake before it is served? Will it be mixed into buttercream or left by itself? Maybe someone more knowledgable than I can help.
I'd like to know the answer too

I thought i would make a dam and put it inbetween the layers, with bc on the bottom She will pick it up on Fri and the birthday is Saturday, I could mix it with the icing , but i just thought it would look pretty with the jam only,

I doubt the jam needs to be refrigerated. High sugar content acts like a preservative.
