Don't Want To Use An Edible Image!

I have a (new) customer who ordered a cake from me, for this weekend; we were going to do something cute, stacked cake (9" and 6"), w/ cheetah print and hot pink bows for her daughters "cheeta girls" birthday party - she said she ordered a "topper" for the cake... OK. She sends me an email, said she received the topper, and emailed me a picture... It's an edible image (probably 8x10)... ?! This isn't a topper - and not only haven't I done an edible image, I'm not a huge fan and this one, is kind of... tacky...
We're going to have to redesign the cake obviously, but not sure how to address the image idea. I don't want this to look "grocery store". What would you do?!
Well.......it would help if I knew what the image looked like.....is it the type of image that you couldn't possibly cut and use only a portion of it?? If so..you could make a "plaque" for it out of gumpaste and put the image on that and stand it up on the top of the cake....or why not just do a 1/2 sheet cake with the cheetah print as planned and put the edible image in the center.....
Could you talk to her and let her know your concerns? Let her know that it isn't a topper, and you aren't sure how to fit it on the cake anywhere? Is there anyway you could put it on the side of the large cake? Is it a pic of the girls from the movie? Maybe she'll use the pink bows as the topper?
Maybe I can cut it down, and put it on gumpaste plaques - I like that idea.
I don't know the exact size of it, but it's a big picture of the "cheeta girls" and a picture of the little girl, kind of in the corner of it (otherwise, I'd post it). How do you adhere it to the gumpaste - piping gel?
I would use water to paste it. I tried the piping gel after seeing the tutorial and it took a long time to dry and never completely dried before delivery. Just MO.
