I pm'd the member that posted this photo, last week & haven't heard anything yet. I'm sure she's just busy or hasn't seen my message yet.

Can you tell me what size square pan was used for this cake?

I'm going to guess and say a 14" square. It looks like it is an 8", 10" 12" rounds stacked on a 14 " square.

what you really need to determine, is how many servings you'll need on the cake you will be recreating and then adjust your pan sizes from there. however, looking at the picture, to me, it seems that there is a 4" size difference from the last round tier, and the bottom square tier. so, i would say: 6,8,10, and 14 ...OR... 8,10,12 and 16

I'm with Melysa- The top tier looks bigger than 6" to me, so I'd go with the 8,10,12 round and a 16 in square

And my guess will be: 6/8/10 on a 14 square.

FYI: If the post is still in your 'out box', it hasn't been picked up yet. When s/he reads it, it will disappear and go into the 'sent box'.

Agreed....the size of the roses on top (and filler) look too large on an 8" round. However, Melysa is right, you need to make your cake whatever size is required....not necessarily the size pictured.

i was thinking the same thing about the rose topper. i always look at the top tier and try to visualize it like a square... like if a cake's height is usually 4" tall average, then how much wider does it look.. i do lean towards it being a 6" round on top, but again, it just goes back to how many people they will need cake for, so its kind of irrelevant , unless this brides wants EXACTLY what is in the picture as long as it will feed everyone expected to be there, plus some.
