Well, I barley survived this wedding!! Stress brought on an entire onslaught of physical problems, the worst being my hip went out of whack and I could barely walk, let alone decorate a tiered cake and 6 sheet cakes - but I did it with a ton of help from my sister, and everyone loved the cakes. My DD even liked this one!! icon_rolleyes.gif

We did some tearing apart of the original and created a new cake for her wedding. The bottom two tiers are dummy and the top is chocolate cake which they cut and then took on their honeymoon! The second one is the original (which is the one DD hated) and the first one is what I did for the wedding! Thanks for all of your support and encouragment!! This site is awesome!! icon_smile.gif

I remember your original post and your cake was beautiful. You are a wonderful mother and I know your daughter has to appreciate that. The second cake is as beautiful as the original. I hope you do take care of yourself now!!

I really think the 2nd cake is prettier because of the change in color with the middle tier.

good job on getting it done under such conditions. icon_surprised.gif I don't know how you pulled it off in that much pain. The new cake looks great, of course so does the original too.

dark chocolate,

I like the turquoise tier also! I got a new impression mat from CK and since it was of the circle, dot theme of her wedding, I used it on the fondant but then had trouble with the sides distorting as I worked it unto the cake dummy! If anyone can give advise on keeping the impression even after application, I'd appreciate it 'cause the mat is really fun to use and the picture does not do it justice!! Thanks for the warm fuzzies, everyone! I have chiropractic and massage appts. this coming week!!

I think you did a great job on both cakes, but I have to say I like the first one better.
