Add more black gel.

It's like lemonade.... If you want it sweeter, you have to keep adding sugar until it's the sweetness you want.

If you can start with chocolate icing first, that usually works for me icon_smile.gif

Are you using buttercream?
I made rolled buttercream (fondant) and dyed it black. It was really black. However, it was a little greasy but it did look cool- just like patent leather!

You make it correct....get it to a dark grey...then cover it and walk away from it for a few hours...the intensity of the color will darken and you wont have to end up adding more and risking the alteration of your yummy b/c flavor icon_biggrin.gif
