what would you charge for this cake?....I am by no means a pro and I don't sell cakes....I just make them for family & friends. My sister is visting from Ohio and she got to watch me do my daughters birthday cake today, after I was done with it.....she ask what would you charge for a cake like this, and I told her I had no idea. So that got us to wondering what would be a asking price on a cake like this. I told her about CC and that I could do a post and ask the members for their insight and opinions.....so could you wonderful people help our wondering minds

It is a 8in. and 10in. 2 layer each. iced and filled with bc.The fairy's are from pictures I printed then use to cut out the shapes in fondant, some of the flowers are on wires then bunch together and wrap with florists tape, the tree trunk on the top cake is molded from rice krispy treats, then cover in bc. All other decorations is fondant (ladybugs, catails,mushrooms,other flowers, butterflies) & bc. Thanks for looking.

It is a beautiful cake! and I know that was a lot of work. I would charge like you do for a wedding cake..so probably a professional would charge at least 5 dollars a person, making that what bout $120 based on the 8 and 10 inch cakes. I can't remember exactly how many each one serves but I think it would be like 60 people (wedding cake slices).

Thank You! everyone for your sweet comments and your info on a price. The cake was for my daughter in my avatar. She loves fairy's and the picture help to give me the idea for the cake. The fairy's on the cake represent her and her daughter.
For those of you who do this for a living or just for fun, and have 2 or more cakes a weeks.....I bow to you. Today my body is paying for this, I am hurting all over 
, but I love & enjoy making this cake. My daughter love it and is very happy with it.
