Where in the world do you buy these?
There is one cake decorating supply store in my area (Denver) and I thought her prices were high. There has got to be a different store that sells these things. I checked at Michaels and Hobby Lobby and nothing except little balls of styrofoam like you'd use for crafts.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
I know people here order from Dallas Foam. I just purchased from them and have been waiting a while to get my order. They said it would take 5 days to process and then however long to ship. We'll it's been well over a week and I have yet to hear back on even a total for my order. It might just be my bad luck! I know a lot of people have had better luck with them though. They are very reasonably priced, they have a $10 min. order on the cake dummies{I had to up my order to meet that, that's how I know}. I think on the web site it says a min. $25 order though.{???}
Thanks! I will check it out.......although I despise paying for shipping for some reason so I don't do alot of ordering on-line. Sometimes places have good deals, only to be "ripped off" by the shipping charges.(sigh). Hmmm. Maybe I'll check ebay.
The place where I bought a few yesterday (Cake Crafts in Littleton, Co) - the 6" round 3" high dummy was like $3.60! And the prices increased up to the 18" round which was like $10 and something. Is this "NORMAL"??? I'm thinking, geez, for a piece of styrofoam ????? I'm thinking *I* should open my own dang styrofoam business !!!!
I buy mine from Dallas Foam also. I usually will order enough of each size to make it worth my while. I usually get squares and rounds since they are the most popular, it takes about 7 days to get them. The prices are better then my bakery supplier so it is worth it too me to buy from them.
