Which forum is the best forum to post in and how do I choose which one I want to post in?!?!?!I ask because I posted a question a couple of weeks ago and it did not get many views, fortunately someone who knew the answer saw my post and answered my question.

Thanks!

Also, how do I get my post to show on the home page under newest forum topics?

It depends on how busy the forums are, whether or not your post will show on the home page. New posts will show if you view recent posts or unanswered posts.

Choosing the right forum: On the cake central forum index is the list of available forums with general descriptions of each forum.

Right after I posted this topic I checked to see if it was on the home page, but it did not even though the other ones had been there for like 10 mins. Do new topics only show on the home pages of people who did not post them? I am very confused! icon_cry.gif

There is a delay between when you post and when it appears on the home page. (I saw it on the home page, which is why I am here!)

One suggestion that I can make is that you should always use a subject that gives a good idea of what you want to know. (Like you did with this post.) That cuts down on the number of views by people who can't help AND aren't really interested in the topic. If I am short on time, I don't even click on posts that have subjects like, "Need help" (with what???), "Have you ever?" (have I ever what???). If I have lots of time, I will look at them, but chances are pretty good that I won't be able to help, which will mean there will be a view tallied for my seeing it, without my being able to answer.

If someone has already answered the question better than I could (which is often), I don't bother responding.
