I'm making a hat cake for my brother, I have no idea how to attach the bill. He told me to cut it out of poster board then stick it in, this would work but how do I make it curve?

What kind of hat are you making? A baseball hat?

If you are making a baseball hat and need to shape the bill you can make it out of gumpaste and dry it over the bill of a real hat. Once it's dry you can then attach it to the cake.
