New to this forum, its really a great place.
I bought a gerbera cutter the other day,its a PME brand from the UK.instructions a bit vague, cutting out the flower is fine its the construction part that I'm not sure about what do you use in the center,I have seen the one using a ball of paste with tulle, but the ones I have seen on websites seem to have something else in the center and is of a dark colouring, any ideas.
Thanks
I am not sure what a PME cutter is ... but I made gerbera daisy with cutters for a cake, I would have done the centers a bit differently but both my sister (an avid gardner) and the lady (who works at a flower shop) said I nailed them.
SO, here's what I did. The larger petals were laid out and pressed in the center. The smaller petals were laid in the center and then I pressed the center in (to make them stand up a bit). I put a ball of fondant in the center and pressed it with a strainer. Then I pressed in center with the end of a nut cracker (could also use a pen or something) then I put a small ball of black, pressed with the strainer and then with the tip of the nut-cracker.
I hope that makes some sense! (if not hopefully someone will know a little better!)

Make a cone shape about 1/4 inch it should be small enough to fit in to the center of your flower. Then use scissors to cut across the base of the cone. The scissors should have a fine point. Drop the cone into the center of the petals and use paint or petal dust on it.
Thanks for your help. The PME have a website, not sure what it is,but google PME cutters.
Jo_anne ,I sent a private email, don't know if you received it,wouldn't mind the copy of instructions,

I read somewhere some one used tea leaves in the center of the flower, what would you say to this.
