Well Here it is my attempt at a carved turkey! A HUGE Thanks to Miss Missy for posting the directions here in the forums. It wouldn't crust over, so I couldn't press for the skin pattern. I like the outcome though. A friend quickly looked in the fridge and asked why I would make a turkey and let it sit there and that I should have a damp towel over it to make it moist! ![]()

. I guess I achieved what I was going for. ![]()

Thanks Monica....I love your new avatar
Awwww. Thanks Spotty. I was just playing around in paint. I kinda like it myself.
You are a true artist!! Your work is breathtaking
!!
spottydog,
You did a super job. I can see why your friend would mistake it for real.
Is it time for turkey already? Wow - that's unbelievable - so realistic! You nailed the colors, that's for sure!!
Your friend sounds funny!
Ok....so great I have 6 orders for the turkey so far. Only problem is how much to charge. The "only" local bakery charges $26.95. It is a bit smaller but they include ALL trimmings made out of bc. Any thoughts??? Suggestions? Should I charge the same or less because I am just starting out as a residential kitchen?
How much it cost you to make it & how long it takes you to make it?
