anybody in NJ have advise on where to start,geeting my license? I finally think I caught a break and will have a commercial kitchen to rent,I need to get the ball rolling,but I can't find out JACK!!!!!!!!!help please TIA

Sorry, I don't have any information for you, but I am interested in finding a commercial kitchen to rent myself. Did you find one of those coop kitchens or is it something else?

Incorporate, either with the assistance of a CPA (highly recommended) or file the articles yourself online. You don't have to if your plan to file your income under your own ss#, but there are many tax benefits to incorporation.

Next, contact your township, county, then the state in that order. Township for zoning/permits, county for license, fire and occupancy permit, state for board of health inspection. Do all of this before you buy any equipment or make any changes to the facility. Not all pieces of equipment are eligible for commercial use ( meaning NSF certified).

Most importantly, liability insurance.
