With a strong 41% of the vote (as of this morning) I am pleased to annouce that "Space" is the August theme! This can incorporate any medium (cakes, cookies, candy, etc.) and you can design anything that fits the theme "Space" in your mind. If your entry isn't obvious, explain how it fits the theme, and feel free to give details about the mediums and methods you incorporated!

Can't wait to see all the awesome space entries this month! There are lots of awesome celestial events going on, and this is one of them! icon_wink.gif

Well, I am excited for this theme. I can finally have a reason to make my backyardigans in space cookies....=) I love those little guys! More than my kids do! LOL

Oooh...I just happen to have one! This was a "zodiac" themed 1st birthday party. The mom is a party planner and she went ALL OUT!!! That party had the works....

Hey SophieBelle, there is a link at the top of this thread in my original post that has the complete information, but the 'short' version is that you make something to fit the theme and post it here. If you have already made something in the past, you can post that too, but we'd also like to see you get creative and make something new!!! Welcome in, please DO join us!!!

When I gave it to my friend, he kept holding the tray crooked, and all I could see was R2D2 landing splat on the sidewalk.... I finally took it away from him (after correcting him twice) and took it in the house myself... no touching for him!!! icon_surprised.gif

Here is the cake I did for my son's b-day. The big planet and rocket are made from rice crispy. This was the first time I used it. Not perfect, but my son loved it.

great space cakes everyone! maybe if I am lucky I will get some cookies made this week for this theme. I am hoping to enter the local fair, so I have to get those done this weekend, but maybe I will have time to do both. hmmmm =)
