I just tried to cover a cake dummie with choc fondant.....It was terrible! My finger prints were all over and the corners kept breaking through. I probably just need more practice but UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just so you know, this post in cookies probably won't get quite the response you might have wanted.

You have to trim or sand the edges of a square dummy. Then you need to press the fondant at the top of the sides so it isn't hanging down so heavy. You may also have rolled it too thin,

If there isn't buttercream under it, peel it off, knead it well and do it over.
