What do you make of this cake? I used a BC Supermoist Yellow mix and doctored accordingly:

1 small pkg cream cheese
4 eggs
1/2c water
1/2c oil
1/2c sugar

It cooked a solid half hour at 350, and that was a baby sized 5 inch round pan

ive had cakes sink in the center, from the sides, but this....is highly unusual lol. it looked so perfect until i popped it out of the pan!

paint some big lips on it and some leave sticking up at back w/ yellow skin

and you have Audrey II from Little Shop of Horrors!!!

odd -- truly odd! almost as if it started to crust over on top and then batter expanded a lot more and pushed up through.

maybe lower temp would have helped???

doug you are hillarious!! icon_lol.gif

you might be right about the temp. the odd thing is i used the remaining batter to make a 10in heart and that one came out fine! well anyways i just torted it and its perfect on the inside, i'll just fill in with icing!

How odd! Well at least you came out with a nice snack when you leveled it. Glad it was ok inside.

I 1st thought the 'recipe' had too much sugar in it, but you say another cake from the same batter baked up just fine.......odd icon_sad.gif

I knew it looked like something familar...Doug pegged it!
Carolann, girl you crack me up.
Looks like there is enough for two snacks.

Just wondering if you used cake strips and it your oven was too hot.
I used to get mountains before I turned down the oven.
