Your cake stand is awesome!! And your cake was fabulous too =)

That's so creative thumbs_up.gif
But you had written that you put lights under there... Did the fondant or BC melt because of it?? It's probably a stupid question..

Auughhh! I DID jip myself out of the little stand then! Darn!

I did think about the heat from the lights, so I bought the ones that don't get hot- I can't think of what they are called- and did a test run to see if it would get hot in the confined area. I wouldn't recommend xmas lights or anything that gets hot just for that reason! icon_smile.gif

Wow! Amazing. The lighting must have just been spectacular. Thumbs up brnrlvr. I guess you have to wonder around the store with a different set of eye's when it comes to cakes. Nice stands are soooo expensive. Thanks for the idea.

What a great idea. Seems like we often get stuck in the same old rut of doing it the way we did it last time. Thanks for the info; now I'll start looking at everything I see as a cake stand.

I live near Hagerstown MD, pop 50,000 +/-, which has the top-rated WalMart every year (seriously...there's like, awards and stuff icon_rolleyes.gif ...) I even asked somebody and they looked at me like I was describing some sort of alien life form for all the sense it made to them. I should have printed the photo out to take with me.

I looked onlline and can't find anything. Here is the number on the price tag-0747221123 there is an "8" before the main number and a "7" after. I don't know if they count those two. It is called "2PC Square Wall Shelf"

Good luck!
