Hi, can anyone tell me when covering your cake with fondant do you use anything to "glue" the fondant to the buttercream?

No the buttercream will do it, did you use crusting or non crusting?

I used crusting buttercream. Do I put the fondant on while the buttercream is still soft. I'm asking because my Wilton Instructor told us to brush over the buttercream with vanilla so that the fondant will stick on. But this makes it hard to peel off the fondant.

i put it straight on, so when you smooth the fondant over the buttercream smooths with it, but make sure you get the BC as smooth as you can to start with. This is just how i do it, i may be wrong but it works for me.

Teddy,
I believe she said to add extra flavoring to your icing, because the fondant will absorb the flavoring from the bc. icon_smile.gif Happy baking!
