Hi my helpful friends!
We are looking for a copy (or maybe a link) to pictures of a Vera Wang wedding cake that was featured in (we think) the June/July issue of a bridal magazine. The cake was very plain, and according to the discription cost $2,000.00.
I assumed it would be easy to find the picture on the internet (NOT) & we are still searching hard for it & any help ya'll could give us would be greatly appreciated. We are making this cake (for much less money, might I add) for a customer next week.
Thanks!!

Do you know which magazine it was in? It might be easier to search for it.

Hmmm a Vera Wang cake? Correct me if I am wrong does she not make wedding dresses? Do you mean a cake that was based on on of her cake designs?

Here is a link to a pic on a cake site that was based on the bride's dress - It was a Vera Wang dress.

Ewwww yuk, I hope thats not it.
If it is, they got ripped off for $2000. thumbsdown.gif

My daughters comment: looks like they just threw a couple of kilos of icing over it. icon_eek.gif

I

I find a lot of the cakes that are based on designer dresses tend to have a lot of draped fondant.

I think the cake is cute but not something I would have for my wedding.

Wow... I love that cake~! I am sure that all that draping was not as easy as it looks. And red velvet cake... yummmm
