I have a disco ball cake due this friday and I am trying to get some ideas.. I saw all the cakes here and they were beautifull.. I just have one question, is the disco ball cake too heavy for me to put on top of another cake? How should I do?
I'm sorry guys I'm new to this and i'm up to suggestions....

Thank you,

i'm not sure about the weight. But if your worried about it.. i would slightly cut the bottom of the ball cake and make it flat. Place it onto a board and before placing onto the cake. Insert wooden dowels.. Good Luck

The weight would depend on how you do the cake - just dowel properly and prepare like briansbaker said and you should be fine. There's a New Year's ball in my pictures that would work for a disco ball - it's the ball pan with buttercream and then molded hard candies all over for the light/disco look.
