can you make the cookies before the event? Is there a particular way to store them if making in advance?

If well packaged to protect from freezer odors and air, baked and decorated cookies can be frozen for about a month. if you decorate with bright colors, there is a small risk of color bleeding. they should be thawed in a single layer.
