ok, creative peeps...
i need an idea for a small cake for someone who just found out he and his wife are expecting a baby. its for the father to be so i want to do something clever and funny with a 'your life is over' theme but in a cute way. like, say goodbye to money, going out to nice restaurants, etc.... something along those lines.
got any ideas?

you take one of the babies and have images circling around him = money, diapers, baby food.
How about a pacifier? That would be great!

How about the man and baby (or the whole family) on the cake with birds flying away from the cake (on wires maybe), each bird w/something, i.e. money, the remote, a bed, etc?? I think that would be cute!! Or the stork dropping of the baby and picking up those things. Make sure to post the pic when you get it done.
OMG, those gag gifts are so hilarious! I was at a couples shower once where the Dad-to-be got a tool belt, filled with wipes, A&D ointment, powder, lotion and diapers instead of tools.
You could do the face of a clock that shows 2 AM, and the cake could say "Meet your new friend"
