I just love whipped icing but since it's so soft it is difficult to work with; however, I was thinking of purchasing an airbrush kit to add color and "dress up" my cakes .. has anyone had success airbrushing whipped icings? Or disasters ... don't want to make a large investment just for this if I'm heading into troubled water!!

Thanks for any input .. love this site!!

You can airbrush your whipped icing. You just want to make sure you aren't real heavy handed on it because you are actually adding liquid and it will break the icing down.

also make sure the pressure isnt too much or you'll make a crator in the icing...its much more delicate than buttercream too
