Does this work? I wanted to make some chocolate transfers for my nephew's birthday cake and wanted the shimmery effect that luster dust gives? Can I brush it on dry or paint it on just like I would if I were painting fondant, by mixing the dust with alcohol?
Thanks!
Hope

I've done both. It doesn't go on thick dry brushing it, just gives a shimmer and the alcohol works fine for painting.

I prefer using the color dry on chocolate. It adds nice shimmer, and you don't have the sticking problem.

Thank you so much! I was stuck on chocolate transfers for this so I didn't know what I would do if luster dust on candy melts didn't work!
Thanks!! icon_smile.gif

Can luster dust be added to candy melts, once you melt them???

I don't think there would be any point--I think the luster dust would just"melt" into the warm candy and you would not see it. You would definitely get an affect by dusting it on once the chocolate is cooled and molded.
