Here are the colors I am going to try to make for a cake in a few weeks.. You think the colors are ok? Im trying to see which one is the best.. I have to start with brown icing, because I have to make chocolate buttercream.. I may cover in fondant if I feel the white one looks the best.. By the way Thanks Doug, I took one of your templates and colored it.. Love your templates!!!

I personally like the white one the best. But out of the brown ones, I like the blue stripes/pink circles. icon_smile.gif

Good Luck, Either way, they're both nice ideas!

I like the white one the best also. It would look good in the brown if it was just going to be pink, but since it has blue as well I would go with the white.

Brown with the pinks and blues is very popular and modern right now so you won't go wrong with whatever you choose. I like all the choices so if the client wants the chocolate bc it will look great!

I like the last one!! Those colors look awesome on a real cake, not just on paper. The combinations of those color look great for decorating rooms as well.

What/who/which event is the cake to be made for? The pink and blue on white looks more cute/childlike/juvenile, while pale pink and blue on chocolate looks much more adult/sophisticated. IMO.

My brother's wedding colors were that blue with brown and it (suprisingly) looked very nice. I would go that way, but like Ksue said if it's for a child go with the white...if it's for an adult go with the brown.

Thanks for your inputs.. It's for my niece.. She will be tuning 18 this month.. If you have any other color choices in mind.. Please throw them in. Well she wants a chocolate cake.. So I have to go with brown icing, unless I use fondant on top of that.. And her two favorite colors are pink and turquiose..I think the turquiose gives it a 50's look.. But I really like them all.. TIA

I have done some really opposing colors for clients. Could not get the colors in my mind but when done on real cake it was awsome. Go with the brown and blue stripe cake. IMO

I made a cake given by a CC member for the cake and found a icing recipe on the box of the unsweetened chocolate squares.. And here are the colors together.. I really like the pink and brown or brown and blue.. I really done like all of them together..
P.S. I made the balls and flowers with chocolate plastic, no fondant!!!! We'll see what it taste like in a few hours.. will let you know!!!

Uh... I cant load the pic.. it reads it's to big!!! brb to see what I can do to fix it..

Actually, I was going to vote for the white one - just because I'm not a huge fan of the brown chocolate frosting, just a personal preference.

BUT - after seeing your creation - the colors look really cute together. I almost wonder if the solid flowers and the balls are a lot of decoration though - maybe mixing it up a bit with flowers with cut outs and the balls might be an interesting mix. Of course - just my personal opinion, but you can do with it what you want. icon_lol.gif

My friend is wanting to do her furniture chocolate brown with baby blue accents (I have seen that on HGTV) and I just did a pink cake with Ganache over top which I liked, but I kind of agree...not sure with all the colors together....I think the pink and brown is my fav combo.

I think I am gonna change my mind...I think the circles and stripes will look good....especially if its on seperate tiers...I think its harder to look at them when its pink, blue, etc....
