Does anyone know of any cake shows or competitions held in California???

Try contacting a cake club in your area. Ours has a website that lists those in our state. There is a BIG show in Oklahoma.

I think the only one left in CA is the San Diego show. There used to be one in Fresno (20 yrs aog) and one in Fremont but both has since stopped putting them on.

Many businesses have gingerbread house competitions. The Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay had a nice one last year. There's going to one in Napa this December. Many of the cake clubs have a Day of Sharing in which they put their cakes on display. The Fremont Frosters had a big one last year. The Contra Costa Cake and Sugar Art Society just had a club cake competition. (Of course many of the county fairs and the Calif. State Fair).
