I'm doing a sculpted surfboard cake and wanted the "easy way out" on decorating this.(don't want to airbrush this time)( I say easy, because it sounds simple enough.) Can I print off a picture of a surfboard from say a google search of images and take it to either Wal Mart or a grocery store bakery and they will print it for me? I assume all I would do is have my surfboard iced then cut out and lay the image on? I'm dangerous w/ siscors icon_lol.gif so this could get ugly. Thanks for the tips on how to do this and how much does it usually cost?
Thanks so much,
Amy

the cannot be dry, or it will not melt into it. i would wait on icing, until you get the image home. icon_biggrin.gif

if it does dry out before you place the image, you can mist the frosting with a little water. The image will run you between $6 & $10 depending on where you get it.

It should work no problem...good luck

you can take the image to wal-mart or a bakery and depending on the management there, they either will or won't print out the image for you. If they do, i would definitly make sure that the image you have is the size you want it to be printed out as to put on the cake. Depending on how good of a scanner they have at the bakery or wal-mart, if they have to blow up the picture (and they have a crappy scanner), it may be blurry when they print it out. I had this problem when i went to wal-mart and asked them to print me out one, my image was about an 2inches by 2 inches and when they blew it up larger, it was a big blob........so just make sure the image you have is the size you want it to be printed out as.
Wal-mart charged me $5 for my edible image.
