I make cakes for friends and I always have people asking me for my name and number to contact me later so I decided i would like to make business cards.

I want a name that is cute and catchy so people will remember. Do you guys have any ideas? Just throw anything out there I would love to hear anything you've got.

Tog...this is fun! Can you give us some ideas of your personality or things that represent you though? That will help : )

I think it's fantastic that you have people wanting your cakes!

However, be caredul about just handing out business cards with a 'company' name and not being an official, legal company. The cards imply that you are one and in the future could really get you in some hot water (not only with health inspections, but also on the tax side of it).

I know lots of people sell cakes 'under the table' just to family and friends - if that's what you want to do - then just make up 'calling' cards - with your name and phone number and maybe a cute picture of a cake - but don't state that you do cakes for money on the actual card, or give an official sounding business name. You never know whose hands that card may fall into.

Good luck!

I agree with Deana on this one. If you are not licensed and don't have a legitimate business, handing out cards can get you into some real hot water. I also like the idea of just making cards that might have a cake picture but just say "call me" and give your name and address. This could prevent problems down the road.

Good luck with your cakes.

dont worry i'm not doing anything professional. i just wated a cute name to remember me by, and yes there are more like calling cards with just a name and number on it for friends and friends of friends. i dont charge because ive had no formal training and i just enjoy haveing a purpose to make cakes for experience.

and for my personality well im happy and perky and have a real mothering side. im sort of a food pusher! i like making sure everyone is well fed. im also very tiny and love making cakes to suprise my friends with!

TOGether Forever (with cake)
Get TOGether for Cake
Got TOG? (cake, that is) ----> I liked the reversed letters.

I guess I got carried away.
good luck w/your business.
